Where does this come from?
The public Companies House register, read live when you press the button. Nothing here is our opinion. You can check every line of it yourself on the register, and we would rather you did.
Is it really free?
The check is free and needs nothing from you but a company number. The written version, with the deadlines and what each one costs if it slips, is also free but needs a name, an email and a phone number so we can send it.
It says my confirmation statement is overdue. How bad is that?
It is the cheapest problem on our list to fix and the most dangerous to leave. An overdue confirmation statement is what triggers a strike-off, and a struck-off company has every asset pass to the Crown. It is a small fee and about fifteen minutes of work.
Can I check a customer or a subcontractor?
Yes. Anyone can read the public register about anyone. People use this before extending credit, taking on a subcontractor or signing a supply agreement.
